I’ll just go ahead and say it…this is way worse than I’m willing to admit. The reason is simple: I fucking love The Boogeyman. The smoke, the makeup, the clock, the strange gait, the music, the entire act, I just totally eat it up like The Boogeyman eats up worms. It’s Boogeyman’s only Mania match, and he comes in undefeated overall.
Booker tries to trick The Boogeyman as the match starts by making Sharmell start the match, but Booker then attacks him from behind. Booker has the early advantage as they fight through the red smoke that has overtaken the arena from Boogeyman’s entrance. Booker even delivers the book end, but The Boogeyman kicks out at two.
For the majority of the rest of the match, Boogeyman dominates Booker as Sharmell screams and looks on from the apron until Boogeyman begins to dine on worms and Sharmell tries to hit him with his own staff, prompting Boogeyman to “kiss” her, which is really just smashing his worm filled mouth against her face. She runs away screaming, and Boogeyman delivers the boogeybomb for a win.
The match is not good, and more, it’s absurd. But I don’t care. Booker T is funny in this match, and The Boogeyman is The Boogeyman. Would recommend.
