The opener of WrestleMania 22 is a bit difficult to write about because it is such a generic version of a tag title match. Kane & Show use their size to establish an advantage until a short lived segment of the challengers gaining control after using an exposed turnbuckle.
Masters eventually gets the master lock on Kane, but Big Show makes the save. Carlito then nails the backstabber on Kane, but again, Big Show lifts him for a chokeslam, only to be chopped down from behind by The Masterpiece. As the action crescendos, Masters accidently hits Carlito, leading to a chokeslam from Kane to Carlito and a cover to retain.
After the match, Carlito and Masters exchange words, but still leave as partners. While inoffensive, every element of this match feels like something much smaller than a WrestleMania title match.
