234. “The Rock” Don Muraco (w/ Superstar Billy Graham) vs. “The Million Dollar” Man Ted DiBiase

WrestleMania IV
March 27, 1988
Historic Atlantic City Convention Hall
Atlantic City, NJ

Virgil is missing from DiBiase’s corner for the quarterfinal World Title Tournament match after suffering one of the worst suplexes ever at the hands of Hulk Hogan after Hogan’s match with Andre the Giant.

DiBiase almost plays the traditional face role in this one, due to being so undersized and overpowered. It’s his ingenuity that lets him hit a stun gun for the three to advance to the finals (thanks to Hogan and Andre eliminating each other). Yet another inoffensive but unmemorable match from WrestleMania IV that suffers from the time constraints of the overloaded card.
