A great moment occurs before this match even starts. As Faarooq & Bradshaw make their way down the aisle, with only the Dudleys in the ring, Jerry Lawler states his favorite team in the WWE is in the ring. When JR asks if he means the Dudleys, King states he meant Stacy’s right leg and Stacy’s left leg. JR responds by simply, sadly, noting that “aww, you’re so lonely”.
When all four teams finally make it down to the ring, the action starts quickly as Bradshaw can’t wait to take the fight to Chuck. It doesn’t take long for the Dudleys to interject and after Bradshaw takes down Chuck with a clothesline from hell, he finds himself the victim of a 3D and the A.P.A. is eliminated.
Keeping track of who is legal at any given point is a real chore. D-Von is later pushed off the top through a table they had set up, leaving Bubba in the ring to get a twist of fate and swanton from to eliminate the Dudleys.
Matt then hits the twist of fate on Chuck, followed by the swanton bomb from Jeff once more but before he can pin, Billy hits the Famouser and then after Jeff recovers, with the referee’s back still turned, Billy drills Jeff with one of the tag belts. Chuck pins Jeff to retain the belts.
The match isn’t bad, but it’s too much of a cluster to become overly invested in. Some decent spots spread out over a far too long 13 plus minutes are not enough to illicit much of a strong opinion.
