272.One Man Gang (w/ Slick) vs. Bam Bam Bigelow (w/ Oliver Humperdink)

WrestleMania IV
March 27, 1988
Historic Atlantic City Convention Hall
Atlantic City, NJ

You would never imagine after watching this match that Bam Bam Bigelow was a future WrestleMania main eventer.

Two huge similarly shaped powerhouses with preposterously dressed managers (Slick for the Gang, and Oliver Humperdink for Bam Bam) plod through a mostly boring World Title Tournament first round match. Bam Bam’s cartwheel taunt might be the highlight of the match between the myriad splashes and headbutts.

Eventually, Slick pulls down the top rope, sending Bigelow tumbling to the outside. Despite getting up around a four count, OMG continues to club away at Bigelow on the apron while the referee screams the count, eventually completing one of the strangest count outs on Triple B in what is a hugely unsatisfying finish.
