This is even worse than what preceded it. Daniel Bryan and Sheamus have a very poor history at WrestleMania together, but this takes the cake. The two were scheduled to have a United States Title match at WrestleMania. And that match did take place…sort of.
We’ll get to the details of that soon enough, but suffice it to say, the match was moved to the preshow, became a lumberjack match, and ended in a schmoz. In true Teddy Long form, Teddy Long appears to turn the match in to a battle royal instead.
It dwindles down and in very fast succession, it is suddenly our original two combatants and Khali. Sheamus and Bryan both end up on the apron, and Sheamus delivers the brogue kick to eliminate Daniel Bryan. Sheamus re-enters the ring, but is quickly dispatched, clotheslined over the top by the giant.
The Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan match ends with a Great Khali victory. Somehow the worst moment in their checkered history at Mania.
